In a recent thread I vented the idea that reciproke failure of Fomapan kicks in much sooner than expected, and got conformation on it. To be able to use my left Fomapan stock (or get rid of it) I thought about the following option: Suppose I would process my Fomapan as (semi) stand in PyrocatHD, would that work to lift the shadow densities to acceptable levels ?

There are many ways to develop FOMAPAN_200. Following Foma's recommended development in their tech sheet is a good place to start if you want to develop this film yourself. If you send your film in to us here at Simple Film Lab, we develop FOMAPAN_200 with Ilford replenished Ilfotech DD developer with constant rotary agitation as standard practice.

For semi-stand development you are basically refreshing the highlights areas with new developer each time you agitate the film so the highlights develop further and faster. By stopping the time sooner the highlights are developed but some deeper shadow detail remains less developed thereby produce a negative with more contrast. Stand Time

Anyhow, I used Fomapan 200 rated at 100 (wanting to insure good shadows) exposure read with an incident meter and developed the film for 1 hour
